Liaoyang Petrochemical Institute, founded in 1957, is the county-level scientific research institution under the leadership of the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, invested in the expansion by the State Construction Committee in 1980, and has formed the fully supported scientific research and production system with the main direction of organic synthesis, petrochemical and fine chemical products development and application.
Our institute is located in the cross section of Minzhu Road and Qingnian Street in Liaoyang with superior strategic location and convenient transportation. The institute covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters, owns a six-story frontage research office building, including more than 3,000 square meters of experimental floor. There are pilot plant, boiler room, substation, machine repair shop, garage and other ancillary facilities with total construction area of 9,300 square meters. There are 101 employees, 58 engineering and technical personnel, including 10 with senior position, 27 with intermediate position and 21 with junior position. With strong technical force and advanced scientific and analysis equipments, we have won the provincial and municipal scientific research achievement awards for many times. Our products glutaric acid, glutaric anhydride, sodium tanning agent, as well as the high boiling point solvent DBME of car paint, high-grade paint, insulating paint are the products filling the domestic gaps.
